I had the honor of being the keynote speaker for Orono High School’s Jobs for Maine Graduates program. After the event, I received 18 handwritten thank you notes that moved me to tears. I had no idea the gratitude and impact I had on those students in that one hour we spent together. One student said, “Thank you for taking the time to come to our opening ceremony. I also wanted to thank you for teaching me how to be limitless. I will take that with me as I grow in life. Thank you for telling us that we have you to come to if we need help.” If you aren’t already, please volunteer for a local organization that is working with our youth. The best gift you can give others in your time. Be a positive role model. You never know the impact it might have on student’s life. You, too, have the power to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs!
