Comfort is easy, but it won’t help you grow. Challenge yourself daily, even in small ways. My son is on a 150-day streak on Duolingo, learning German and crushing their math program. Sometimes, he remembers at the last minute—after the lights are out—but he still gets it done. Watching him push himself inspires me to keep pushing, too. 💪
Getting uncomfortable builds resilience. It’s like a muscle you strengthen every time you step out of your comfort zone. You’ll handle life’s inevitable blows with more ease and grace.
Whenever I want to throw myself a pity party and give up, I think of my dear friend, Eliza and other moms who have lost their fight with cancer yet left behind a legacy of courage, love, and resilience. They showed up, even when it was uncomfortable, even when it felt impossible. That strength inspires me to keep pushing forward, even when the road feels tough.
Take a moment to reflect on what truly motivates you and give it a try. For a long time, I thought I needed to go to a gym to get in shape. My gym was great, but after a year of going, I wasn’t achieving the results I wanted. I stepped away and made a commitment to myself: I was going to change. Since then, I’ve lost 15 lbs and am the strongest I’ve been in years.
It all starts on the inside. I saw a quote recently that said, “You have to get that right before the outside can fall into place,” and it is so true! Whether it’s health, personal growth, or pushing yourself outside your comfort zone, everything begins with the decision to commit and follow through.
What motivates you to make a change? Take the first step today—it’s worth it. And if you’re ready to make a shift but don’t know where to start, reach out! I’d love to help you find clarity and build a plan that gets you closer to your goals.
