The Full Story
Lisa Liberatore is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for making connections with everyone she meets.
She started her entrepreneurial journey by founding Baxter Tea Company, a coffee and tea company, which she went on to sell five years later.
She co-founded several investment real estate companies.
She founded Lisa’s Legit Burritos in Gardiner which has expanded to Augusta, Maine. She created a licensing agreement to retain an ownership stake while her business partners manage the daily operation of the restaurants.
Lisa had the privilege of being the Program Manager for Scratchpad Accelerator, Maine's first seed accelerator north of Boston for 4 years, which worked with 12 scalable, investment-oriented companies that have gone on to raise over 3 million dollars in equity. She has coordinated events ranging from 20-200 people, built a mentor pool of over 200 people across the state, and exceeded fundraising goals for programs she has assisted in. She continues to be involved in supporting the Maine entrepreneurs and small business community.
Lisa is also a Managing Partner of Fractional Executives of ME, a small business consulting company.
She authored the Power of Transparency. The book is inspired by what she discovered through her real life entrepreneurial experiences! She honestly reveals the personal and professional lessons she’s learned from building four businesses, becoming a mom and going from happily married to happily divorced.
Most recently, she co-founded D-Max Merch, with her son, Dorian (age 8). They have purchased over $`1,000 worth of snacks to feed hungry kids in the Bangor, Maine region.
She completed her Masters in Student Development in Higher Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership. She is also a Sales Agent with NextHome Experience, specializing in first time investors.
